Last Friday, OSBA hosted its annual Sports Law Workshop in a virtual format. Thanks to all of the school staff who attended the workshop and to all of the experts who shared their time and excellent information.
We, at OSBA, would like for all members to be able to attend all of our workshops but we know that is unattainable. We understand everyone’s busy schedules and other obligations.
Along with a new year comes new obligations and requirements that schools must meet with respect to Workers Compensation. One of the easiest ways to stay up-to-date is by attending one of the upcoming SchoolComp workshops to hear the latest on workers compensation, rates, filing deadlines, retrospective and group requirements, unemployment, MCO and BWC updates, and safety training.

Join the Division of Legal Services at OSBA’s offices on Friday, Sept. 6 for our second collective bargaining workshop. The program will cover the bargaining process, current issues and some difficult subjects in school negotiations. You will also leave with important tips for effective bargaining and discuss some frequently exchanged bargaining proposals.

On April 12, OSBA’s Division of Legal Services will host its annual spring Diversity and Inclusion Workshop from 9a.m.-3p.m. at OSBA’s office in Columbus. This year’s spring workshop will include practical recommendations on a number of important and timely topics.
