It’s nomination season at OSBA! If you, your district or your law firm would like to propose a session for the 2020 Capital Conference, the nomination form is now available on OSBA’s website. The deadline for nominations is next Wednesday, March 4.

Nominators can be board members or employees of member districts and educational service centers (ESCs) or vendors who provide goods or services to member districts and ESCs. Nominators can submit multiple session nominations, but all nominations must be complete. Vendors must include a board member or employee of a member district or ESC as co-presenters on their nomination. More rules for submissions are available on the nomination form.

In order to offer the broadest range of sessions, there are 20 learning tracks, including administration, board development, district operations, ESCs, human resources, legal, student issues and technology. In addition, the conference planning committee has compiled a list of almost 150 suggested session topics, with options in all 20 learning tracks. This list is draw from suggestions made in conference evaluations and other district contacts with OSBA.

If you have presented in the past, we hope you will submit a presentation for consideration again. If you haven’t submitted a topic, make 2020 the year you seek to share your wisdom and experience with board members and school administrators across the state. Submit your nomination before March 4!
