Job descriptions are a critical tool for public agencies. They ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations, like the Fair Labor Standards Act and the Americans with Disabilities Act; clearly define qualifications, expectations and goals for better performance evaluations; and assist with workforce planning and labor relations matters. This session will prepare you to review your job descriptions to make sure they are doing the necessary “heavy lifting” for your district and teach you how to improve them if they’re not.
