Ohio’s 10th annual human trafficking awareness day will be held this year on Feb. 28. The event provides an opportunity to hear from advocates around Ohio with the shared mission of ending human trafficking in Ohio. Each year, the event features a different focus. This year's focus is on the opioid crisis and how it impacts and elevates the risk of human trafficking in Ohio. You can register for the event, which will be held at The Ohio Statehouse from 8:30am-4:00pm, online here.

Additionally, you can access some of the panel discussions and presentations from previous human trafficking awareness day events online on the Ohio Channel at: https://www.ohiochannel.org/store/program-series/human-trafficking-awareness-day. The 2017 program included a session addressing education and human trafficking. That session can be found here: https://www.ohiochannel.org/video/human-trafficking-awareness-day-education-session.

More information about Ohio’s efforts to address and end human trafficking are available online through the Ohio Human Trafficking Task Force. Resources include the Governor’s Ohio Human Trafficking Task Force Report, which was released this month.
