Board changes

  • Lakota Local (Butler) appointed Christina French to the board effective April 2. She replaced Darbi Boddy.

Administrative changes

Superintendents

  • Lakota Local (Butler) hired Ashley Whitely as superintendent effective Aug. 1. She will replace Interim Superintendent Dr. Elizabeth Lolli. Whitely is currently assistant superintendent at Wyoming City.
  • Liberty Local (Trumbull) hired principal Brian Knight as superintendent effective Aug. 1. He will replace Interim Superintendent Debra Mettee.
  • Mohawk Local (Wyandot) hired Andrew Sprang as superintendent effective Aug. 1. He will replace Jeff Holbrook, who is retiring. Sprang is currently superintendent at Fostoria City.
  • Ravenna City Superintendent Dr. Laura Hebert announced her retirement effective July 31.
  • Revere Local (Summit) hired Daniel L. White as superintendent effective Aug. 1. He will replace Dr. Michael L. Tefs. White is currently superintendent at Keystone Local (Lorain).
  • Ross Local (Butler) hired Dr. William Rice as superintendent effective Aug. 1. He will replace Dr. Chad Konkle, who has taken the business manager position at Little Miami Local (Warren). Rice is currently assistant superintendent at Fairfield City.
  • South Point Local (Lawrence) hired principal Chris Mathes as superintendent effective Aug. 1. He will replace Sam Gue, who is retiring.

 

Treasurers

  • Mansfield City hired Barbara Donohue as interim treasurer effective immediately. She replaced Interim Treasurer Judy Forney. Donohue was previously treasurer at Crestview Local (Richland).
  • Shaker Heights City hired Donte Hayes as treasurer effective Aug. 1. He will replace Interim Treasurer Shelley McDermott. Hayes is currently assistant treasurer at South Euclid Lyndhurst City.
  • Tiffin City Superintendent Benjamin A. Richards announced his resignation effective July 31.
     

Sympathies

  • Former Mapleton Local (Ashland) Board of Education member Wallace Dean Welch died May 6. He was 93.
