Administrative changes
Superintendents
- Akron City hired Interim Superintendent Mary Outley as superintendent effective immediately. She replaced Dr. C. Michael Robinson Jr. who resigned.
- Anthony Wayne Local (Lucas) High School Principal Kevin Pfefferle was hired as assistant superintendent effective Aug. 1. He will replace Kevin Herman who took the superintendent position.
- Buckeye Central Local (Crawford) hired Barb Green as superintendent effective Aug. 1. She will replace Mark A. Robinson who is retiring. Green is currently an administrator with Shelby City.
- Chippewa Local (Wayne) hired Junior/Senior High School Principal Tim Adams as superintendent effective Aug. 1. He will replace Todd Steven Osborn.
- Eastwood Local (Wood) hired Brian Hughes as superintendent effective Aug. 1. He will replace William “Brent” Welker who is retiring. Hughes is currently a high school principal at Benton Carroll Salem Local (Ottawa).
- Greenville City hired Julie Sroufe Jones as superintendent effective Aug. 1. She will replace Douglas W. Fries who is retiring. Jones is currently curriculum director at West Carrollton City.
- Independence Local (Cuyahoga) hired Natalie Fior Matthews as assistant superintendent effective Feb. 15. Matthews was previously associate superintendent of academic services at Avon Lake City.
- Marietta City hired Dr. Mary Schaeffer as superintendent effective Aug. 1. She will replace Ali Woods. Schaeffer is currently superintendent at Woodmore Local (Sandusky).
- New Richmond EV hired Paul Daniels as superintendent effective Aug. 1. He will replace Interim Superintendent Jill Hollandsworth. Daniels is currently chief academic officer at Milford EV.
Treasurers
- Kent City Treasurer Deborah A. Krutz announced her retirement effective Aug. 1.
- Orange City hired Gary Platko as treasurer effective Aug. 1. He will replace Todd Puster who is retiring. Platko is currently treasurer at Riverside Local (Lake).
Sympathies
- Former Fayetteville-Perry Local (Brown) Board of Education member Robert E Clonch died May 6. He was 88.
