Relating to teaching financial literacy in high school.
To modify the Campaign Finance Law regarding independent expenditures and political action committees.
To prohibit local boards of health from using certain threatening words in notifications to the public, to allow local boards of health to reject Department of Health orders during an emergency, to allow health care professionals who serve on a board of health to receive continuing education credit, and to change the makeup of local boards of health.
To modify the campaign finance law, to name this act the Ohio Anti-Corruption Act, and to amend the versions of sections 3517.10, 3517.105, and 3517.106 of the Revised Code that are scheduled to take effect January 1, 2021, to continue the provisions of this act on and after that effective date.
To prohibit school districts from providing vouchers for public transportation to students enrolled in grades kindergarten through eight for the 2020-2021 school year.
To modify municipal income tax employer withholding rules for COVID-19-related work-from-home employees.
To make changes to education law for the 2020-2021 school year in response to implications from COVID-19 and to declare an emergency.
To extend the authorization for members of a public body to hold and attend meetings or hearings via electronic technology, during the period of the emergency declared by Executive Order 2020-01D on March 9, 2020, until the declared emergency is terminated.
To require the use of phonics as the primary technique for teaching reading and writing in grades kindergarten through five and to make an appropriation.
To create the Holocaust and Genocide Memorial and Education Commission and to make an appropriation.
