The OSBA Insurance Agency LLC offers Accidental Death & Dismemberment (AD&D) coverage to school district administrative personnel and their dependents at affordable rates. Please click here for a link to the brochure. The following types of coverage are available for purchase: 

  • Business Travel AD&D:  Coverage applies when you are performing the duties of your job, either on or off school district premises.  This does not include commuting to and from work or during time off from work.
  • Personal AD&D:  If you purchase business travel AD&D, you are then eligible to purchase personal AD&D coverage.  This policy extends your existing $100,000 coverage to apply at ALL times:  24 hours/day, seven days/week, not only when you are working but during your leisure time, while commuting, etc.
  • Dependent Personal AD&D:  If you purchase business travel and personal AD&D, you are then eligible to purchase personal AD&D coverage for your spouse and/or children.

Who is eligible?
All superintendents, assistant superintendents, treasurers, business managers, principals, supervisors, directors, attorneys, administrative assistants and other administrative personnel of OSBA-member school districts and their dependents.

What is covered?

When will coverage begin?
The coverage period runs annually from March 1 through the end of February.

How long will coverage last?
Coverage continues as long as your premium is paid in full and you are employed at a district that is a member of OSBA.  If your employment ceases or your district cancels its membership in OSBA, coverage will terminate and no refund will be issued for the remainder of your premium.

Are their age limitations on coverage?
Yes.  When you reach age 70 and beyond, the amount of your insurance is limited to the following:
Age 70:  65% of principal amount
Age 75:  45% of principal amount
Age 80:  30% of principal amount
Age 85 and above:  15% of principal amount
