Membership in the Ohio School Boards Association is open to Ohio’s city, exempted village, local and joint vocational school district boards of education, educational service center governing boards and the State Board of Education. These entities become members upon payment of dues. Each member board is entitled to appoint one of its members as a delegate to the annual business meeting or other called meeting of the association with the power to vote.

Public boards of education that are eligible for OSBA membership, but do not join, do not have access to OSBA’s services.

The voice of OSBA's membership

OSBA is working hard to ensure that we are meeting the needs of our membership. In that pursuit, we have partnered with Hanover Research to assist us with membership feedback and membership need analysis. Hanover Research is a team of methodological experts that help clients meet the ever-changing needs of their customers. In 2019, OSBA received feedback from you and wanted to share that information. "The Voice of the Member" and "Member Needs Assessment Analysis" are documents that are helping to shape our decisions moving forward. Contact Mark Bobo at (614) 540-4000 with any feedback you may have.
