This session will explore the “other” major federal law impacting students with disabilities: Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973. The session will discuss 504’s eligibility criteria, how to conduct evaluations, when and how to develop Section 504 plans, parent participation, and the protections afforded to students with disabilities in extracurricular activities.
