The last budget bill, House Bill 33, made significant changes to public education in Ohio. Over the last few months, OSBA’s legal division has been sharing information and resources developed by the Ohio Department of Education and Workforce (DEW) to implement those changes.
Earlier today, the CDC updated its guidance regarding masks and other face coverings. For many counties in the state, CDC is no longer requiring universal indoor masking in public settings, including schools. Although masks are no longer required in certain counties, CDC notes that people should wear them if they have symptoms, a positive test result, or exposure to someone with COVID-19.
The Ohio Department of Education (ODE) has made a new transportation compliance monitoring system available on its website. The system was created in connection with newly enacted provisions of law contained in House Bill 101, the biennial budget bill.
