In partnership with the Ohio Association of School Business Officials (OASBO), this hybrid workshop addresses the complex financial challenges school districts face and equips leaders with practical strategies for navigating budget shortfalls and avoiding fiscal crises. This session is designed for school board members, superintendents, treasurers, and district administrators.

Through a combination of presentations, case studies, and interactive discussions, participants will:

-Understand the fiscal realities that lead districts toward financial cliffs and the board’s critical role in addressing them.
-Explore strategic options for raising revenue or implementing necessary reductions while ensuring compliance with legal requirements.
-Learn best practices for managing staffing reductions, contracts, and maintaining trust with staff and the community.
-Develop actionable plans for internal coordination and external communication with stakeholders.
