Ohio Department of Education
The Ohio Department of Education (ODE) announced the 2020 Ohio School Report Cards are expected to be released on Sept. 15. The report cards will not have grades or ratings due to provisions in House Bill 197. Additionally, ODE announced deadline flexibility for educator licensure renewal.
United States Department of Education
The United States Department of Education announced that the interim final rule regarding the use of CARES Act K-12 emergency relief funds for nonpublic equitable services is no longer in effect. The rule was struck down by U.S. District Judge Dabney Friedrich, and she indicated in her summary judgment that it would be applied nationwide. Click here to read the update.
