Report Card Study Committee
The committee last week met for the final time ahead of its Dec. 15 deadline to submit recommendations on revising the report card. During the hearing, the committee heard testimony from Ross May, chief information officer, Canton City and Chad Henderly, chief information and process officer, Toledo City. Senate Education Committee
The committee last week accepted a substitute version of Senate Bill (SB) 34 during its sixth hearing. The bill revises school employment policies and revises procedures regarding educator licensure and conduct. Click here to view the substitute version.

The committee held a fourth hearing on SB 121, which requires the State Board of Education to develop K-12 health education standards and revises the law regarding venereal disease education standards and curriculum.

Senate General Government and Agency Review Committee
The committee last week held a second hearing on House Bill 76, sponsored by Rep. Derek Merrin (R-Monclova Township). The bill modifies the form of election notices and ballot language for property tax levies.
