Ohio Department of Health Interim Director Lance D. Himes signed an executive order that allows both contact and non-contact sports to continue. The order provides health, safety and spectator requirements. Click here for a link to the signed order.
Secretary of state
Secretary of State Frank LaRose announced that he submitted a request to the state Controlling Board to approve $3 million to pay for postage on return absentee ballots for the Nov. 3 election. The Controlling Board next meets on Aug. 24.
Ohio Department of Education
The Ohio Department of Education (ODE) released information and resources for career technical education, students with disabilities, and telehealth guidelines.
ODE also provided resources for Child and Caregiver Health and Well-being, Preventing Abuse and Neglect and Child Nutrition Technical Assistance.
