Gov. Mike DeWine announced that students in K-12 schools will continue to learn remotely through the end of the academic school year.

Ohio House of Representatives
Speaker Larry Householder announced that starting on May 4, House members’ staffs will return to the Riffe Center but will work on a staggered schedule. Additionally, Householder announced that committee meetings will resume but with social distancing protocols. United States Department of Education
U.S. Secretary of Education Betsy DeVos announced that the $13.2 billion in emergency funds allocated by the Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security Act is available to state and local education agencies. Ohio is allocated to receive $489.2 million. Click here for the press release.

Ohio Department of Education
The Ohio Department of Education (ODE) released a statement regarding graduation and end-of-year recognition ceremonies. ODE provided new information to help districts with instructional hours and attendance, English learners, telehealth options and auxiliary services. Additionally, the state testing information page has been updated.
