OSBA’s Division of Legal Services will be offering a new seminar on October 1, 2018, focusing on the basic theories and practices of collective bargaining.

At  the workshop, Collective Bargaining in Schools: From Theory to Practice, participants will look at the legal basics of collective bargaining in Ohio. Topics include how to prepare your district’s proposals, selecting the board’s bargaining team, managing the face-to-face process and what happens during impasse or a strike situation. Additionally, we’ll have Kevin Locke, Co-Managing Partner with Pepple & Waggoner, and George Albu, Commissioner at Federal Mediation & Conciliation Service on hand to present and answer your questions.

The seminar is being held at OSBA’s offices. Registration starts at 8:30 a.m. and the workshop concludes at 3:00 p.m. Lunch is included and registration can be found at Collective Bargaining in Schools: From Theory to Practice.
