This workshop is designed to provide participants with information on the legal issues affecting school sports from both an academic and practical perspective. The program begins with a legal update from the Ohio High School Athletic Association's (OHSAA) new executive director, Jerry Snodgrass and OHSAA legal counsel Steve Craig, Esq. Attendees also will learn about the top legal issues impacting athletic programs; hiring, firing and bargaining implications related to coaching contracts; and drug testing student athletes, including the impact medical marijuana legalization could have on drug testing procedures.
