The Mental Health and Social-Emotional Learning Summit was just the beginning. Now more than ever, it is vital to continue our conversations to help Ohio’s students. For that reason, OSBA is hosting a series of virtual learning sessions.

Our next event on July 16 from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. will focus on the traits and habits that allow students to be successful in the classroom.

Our guest speaker will be Angela Duckworth, author and founder of the Character Lab Research Network (CLRN), who is best known for her research on grit.

CLRN is a consortium of schools and scientists working collaboratively to advance scientific insights to help kids thrive. According to its website, it “makes school-based research fast, frictionless and fruitful. Our infrastructure reduces the time from ‘good idea’ to ‘scientifically-tested insight’ in half. And, we bring scientists and educators together to develop and iteratively prototype activities that will lead to scientific insights to help kids thrive.”
