The FMCSA Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse that began in January 2020 has a requirement that all employees perform a limited query (testing history background check) on their CDL drivers before January 6, 2021. This session is designed to educate administrators that are unfamiliar or as a refresher course for those who manage the FMCSA DOT drug and alcohol testing requirements.

• Clearinghouse basics register-to-reporting
• Registering as an employer
• Purchasing queries
• Identify when CDL holders need to register
• Obtaining driver consent for limited or full queries
• Illustrate the electronic consent process for a full query for a CDL holder
• How to submit full and limited queries
• Review returned query information
• Explain violations reported to the clearinghouse by employers
